Not only can the Digital Lapbook be a work of art in itself, but it can feature your student's original artwork.

Scan and Upload

If the artwork has been drawn on paper, you can scan and upload the pictures to the Digital Lapbook. Or, if you don't have a scanner, you can take a digital photo of the artwork. Please realize that you can put a copyright statement on the page claiming the work for your child. But it is still possible for others to download or reuse the artwork even though it isn't "legal".

Gimp
This is a free image editor and image manipulation software.

Inkscape
Inkscape is a free, open source image creation software. It lets you create vector based images and is similar to Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw.
